When in Italy, it’s only customary to indulge in a spot of shopping, and variety you shall have as there are a number of outlets which provide discounted goods.
With the recent Milan Fashion Week, there is a range of lovely new collections out from Italy’s own Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Prada. Take a look here for some inspiration :
Just outside of Florence is the Mall, notorious for bargain prices on designer wear. From clothes, cosmetics, and even house hold goods etc. The Mall is packed full of well known stores such as Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Dior, Ermenegildo Zegna, Fendi, Armani, Gucci, Pucci, Ferragamo, and Valentino. Each store is located around 20 kilometres outside of major cities and can be easily accessed via public transport.
To get there via bus :
Get the Florence SITA bus from Via Santa Caterina da Siena 17, near the train station.
Buses leave at 8:30, 9, 11, 12:35 Mon-Sat. and 3pm Mon-Sun.
To get there via car :
Car will take approx 30 mins. Take the A1 motorway towards Rome and take the exit marked Incisa. Stay right until Leccio, and after passing the center, you will see The Mall on the left
To get there via train :
Train is approx 35 mins plu 5 minutes in a taxi. Take the train from Santa Maria Novella to Rignano sull’Arno, then take a taxi
