Visit the Music Lucca Festival, Tuscany.
September 28, 2012 by idyllicitaly
Summer can only mean 3 things: Italy, sun and festivals!
Each year Tuscany holds its pop and rock festival called the Lucca Festival. It’s a big deal for the small medieval town and has had a host of celebrities attending since it began in 1998
The Lucca Festival is on the 29th of June 2012 and is going to be show casing some famous music acts such as Norah Jones, Kasabian and even Blink 182.
The festival is held on the old square of Lucca – piazza Napoleone. If you’ve not been to the festival before you should be aware that the town is surrounded by medieval walls so this means traffic is limited therefore parking spaces are limited so please bare this in mind. The festival is one that you have to experience, it’s a chance to mix with locals and sample their summer fun!
Looking for somewhere to stay? Then why not take a look at the range of accommodation we have situated near Lucca.
We specialise in Tuscany, and with it only being a train ride away from Lucca, it’s the perfect location. We’d particularly recommend Lucia, its’ modern interiors are a contrast to its’ historical surroundings. It sleeps up to 4 people with 2 bathrooms, It’s very close to the Piazza, and is right near many restaurants and shops making it an ideal place to stay!
